I was typin g an e-mail to my friend from Kennett Square, PA earlier and my stepsister kept telling me how to spell certain words like the following word : recieve !!!!!!!! Is r-e-c-i-e-v-e the correct spelling? My stepsister & father kept telling me "r-e-c-e-i-v-e"!!!!!!!! Please help me!!!!!!!

The rule is I before E except after C. Therefore Receive.
