Toolbar888?

Question

I have the adware Toolbar888 on my computer. I found it only by chance, and no of my spyware scanners ever found it.

I did find this site...

...which says if I download and install that program, it will remove Toolbar888 for me. But, I've heard that xsoftspy is just a scam, so I want to know if I can trust this site.

If I can't, will going to Add or Remove Programs and removing toolbar888 work or not?

It wont remove it by going to add/remove.

All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.

Spybot search and destroy just ran a scan on my computer and that was one of the things it found on my computer and it took it right out.
