My boyfriend and I are considering this option because I know I cannot commit to one piece of jewelry for years to come and I don't trust myself not to lose jewelry. Is there a trusted jeweler that offers cubic zirconia in the North Carolina/ Virginia area? We do still want the option of a platinum setting. Any other advice?

QVC. Check online. They have some really nice gold and Diamonique rings at very reasonable prices. Also check their clearance area. I bought a beautiful Diamonique wedding set that no one knows is not real. I wear it every day. Really worth the price.

I'm from Toronto, but you can go to www.theshoppinhchannel.com, and they have an amazing line of jewellery called Diamonelle...it's a simulated diamond better than cubic zirconia, and you can get it set in silver or even 14 and 18 carat white or yellow gold, sorry no platinum...I'm sure they deliver to the States...they have beautiful stuff, I actyally did the same thing (got one of their rings for my engagement ring), and my husband and I spent the mpney he would have on our honeymoon in Jamaica....oh, the rings cost anywhere from $149-$499 Canadian.....I hope this helps:)

I have purchased from Almost Diamonds. They have a great selection on engagement / wedding rings sets and they are all set in silver. You may want to get the rhodium plated silver as those look like platinum. They have great service and excellent prices.
