How do you plan to get there and how much time do you have? Reason I ask is driving gets *mighty interesting* in Tennessee during a snowstorm. I don't know where in Florida you are or where in Ohio you're going, but we can do the trip from West Palm to mid-Michigan in 21 hours.

Did you mean to say your parents can not go?
I think it would be nice for you and the rest of your family if you went - imagine winter in Ohio - snow?????
Celebrate Christmas earlier with your parents, I am sure they would understand.
Our children are coming to Barbados before Christmas - flying back to the US on the 25th, so we are celebrating on the 23rd.

OHIO. But, you say your parents can't go? See how they feel about you leaving.
I love Christmas in Ohio. It would be like no Christmas at all if I had to sit under a palm tree. I just don't like the months that follow (then I'd LOVE to sit under a palm tree!)

Go to Ohio. I couldn't imagine Christmas in a warm climate. That's just not Christmas to me.
