That file extension requires a program called After Shot. However, it should open under and Corel product since Corel bought JASC softeare back in 2004. Try opening it under Paint Shop Pro, if you have that program. Also, open up windows explorer and make sure the file does not say 0kb. If it does, its a bad file and contains no data. that is a stuffed file, you need to unstuff it... I don't usually use .cpt but it may be self extracting (double click on it and it will open itself.) here's more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compact_Pro
