people have always said that, but as far as i see it most kids tend to reach theri limit right about 16 years, so whats the truth here?

Girls stop growing at 18 and boys stop growing at 21..

There is a wide range of normal here. Some people will reach their full growth at twelve or fourteen, others grow until they are eighteen or twenty or more. In some cases, that may be a sign of an inherited disease, but check with your doctor of medicine if you have a question.

Girls stop growinmg at abnout the time they start their period - maybe another year or so. Boys grow until they are about 19 or so.

Most people grow all their lives, you either grow taller or wider.
