At 7 weeks my hcg level was 33,000 my doc said that was high but nothing to worry about. I have heard higher levels can indicate a multiple pregnancy does anyone know about this i am kinda in the dark here. I already have three little girls and am terrified at the thought of having more than one more baby right now?

I don't really know what to tell you. Higher levels CAN indicate that you are carrying multiples, but it doesn't necessarily. Twins (or more) often come with worse symptoms - more morning sickness, cramps, etc as well, and the weight gain is more quick. There are other reasons why your HCG could be elevated (even though it's really not THAT high), but if your doctor is not worried, there is no reason why you should be.

yes, higher hcg levels can indicate twins, but you should Google search HCG levels and you will easily find a link of the "ranges" that are normal for weeks gestation. but Hcg levels are not a good way to determine twins necessarily cause there are plenty of people who have high levels and end up having only one! Good luck

HCG levels have a huge range even for one baby and the numbers can overlap. Check out HCG levels on yahoo search and there are some great charts out there that will help you.

Higher levels don't always mean twins. My hcg levels were about double what they should have been for dpo and there is only one baby. Good luck.

It can indicate twins or a possible Molar pregnancy, in which instead of a baby developing a mass of tissue develops. Have your doctor perform an ultra sound just in case. If you see and hear a hearbeat it is not a molar pregnancy.

Yes it definetly can. Don't be surprised if you see 2 babies or more on the ultrasound.
