No you can't because the verizon people won't have the programming codes to change the programming to their systems, if you have a cingular you can take it to T-mobile or Boost cause they use the sim card like cingular does and all they have to do is put in one of thier sim cards to your phone.

if it is unlocked MAYBE but since cingular and verizon are on different networks i doubt it will work.

Just take it into a Verizon store and ask them. If it is compatible with their service then they should let you use it. Only way to know for sure is to ask them. Actually that would be a better forum for you than asking here.
