Yeah, K2 right next door is supposed to be harder. The Alps even have a few that are supposed to be harder. Everest is the tallest, but that doesn't mean it is the hardest.

I've heard that K2, Gasherbrum III, and Mount Kilimanjaro are all harder to climb than Everest, but no idea if it's true.

The one is Hawaii is actually "longer" than Mt. Everest because a quarter of it is below sea level in the ocean. I guess if you want to climb that, then bring some scuba gear.

****Also, the bible is true because the bible says the bible is true...that's solid logic right there.

K2 is the most difficult mountain to climb according to most experts:

"This, together with the erratic, rather schizophrenic weather with three major weather systems intersecting/ affecting it [Monsoons, Central Asian and Tibetan anti-cyclones/high pressure, plus the Jet Stream], and the geological anomalies of three major earth plates colliding nearby [ see Nanga Parbat Geology above ] has made it the most difficult mountain to climb. let me clear something up. mount everest is not the tallest mountain on earth, rather the peak is the highest point on earth. the tallest mountain on earth is the dormant volcano mauna kea; its 33,474 feet high, but the base is 19,678 feet below sea level. It only extends to 13,796 above sea level, making it not as HIGH as everest, but its still TALLER.
