Boston:
North End for great Italian food. Be sure to stop at Mike's Pastry for some great deserts!
Fanueil Hall (forgive the spelling)--Shops, restaurants etc. It's really touristy, but it's worth an hour or so.
Back Bay--Home to some very upscale hotels and shopping on Newbury street.
Cheers--It's soo small and crowded, but if you were a fan of the show, you should stop by for a quick drink.
Fenway Park--If your a baseball fan.
Providence:
I went to college in Providence, but haven't been back in a few years. They've done a great job of turning around the downtown area in recent years. The Providence mall is a great mall..if you like to shop. There are some great restaurants in Providence as well.

In Boston you could walk around the Public Gardens or Fanueil Hall. . . .Some romantic restaurants in the North End for good italian food. . . .If you want to go to a bar, try bars around Quincy Market area, like the Bell In Hand. . . .Cheers is nothing but an overpriced tourist trap, because it doesn't even look anything like the show, etc. There's also some good places around the water front, like Tias.

i'm 20 minutes from Boston. i like having speedy get entry to to the perks of suburbia, like department stores and extra effective grocery shops (that have parking plenty) and farm stands. I additionally like that Boston is easy to get to while i decide to circulate to a teach, consume at an upscale eating place, or hit my well known issues to do interior the city.
