There is no such thing as Fate (as usually defined as God's Will). If it would have been, it would imply God is partial to some people than others. That is simply not possible. God is equal to all.

But there is your previous Karma (including your previous births) which will also determine the outcome. If things are not turning out in spite of your effort, it only means that your Karma from your previous births is stronger than your current self-effort. Don't lose heart and stop your effort. The current effort is much more powerful than the power of your previous Karma.

I believe our actions set things in motion that leads to an inevitable. It's not fate in the sense that things are destined to happen and we should accept it, it's more that things will happen if we follow a certain path.

Fate seems so... well, fatalistic. I believe in creative visualization, that if we think it, it will happen. So it's sort of fate, but in a way that it can be affected.

Yes, although I also believe that decisions and circumstances can somewhat alter your fate. For the most part yes.

Fate or chance is only one of the elements in our life, the other is choices.

Yes, sort of. For instance i think our lives work like light. When you turn on a flashlight and point it at a wall, you never know where the light is going to end up. There is a LARGE probability that it will end up on the wall you shine it at. But some light can easily stray away to the ceiling, the hallway, your face, really anywhere. People's lives are much like this. The general light the flashlight makes is where most people's lives end up, but they have a choice of where in that circle of light they end up. But some, a very few end up some place radically different, the light that did not hit the wall.

I want to be a dinosaur, but it can never be one. :(

no, but sometimes I see some clues indicating otherwise. Like for example, I sometimes come to a realization that you have a guardian angel becuase if I didn't I'd be gone by now. Also the fact that I didn't get this one job and then turns out it was a blessing in disguise, that sort of thing.

I do not believe in fate because it is by prayer that my destiny is changed when it is changed. Prayer is my faith not my fate. Thank you for your question.
