Maroney is questionable with what I believe is an ankle injury.......its hard to say b/c if he does play he'll shred the Indianapolis Colts who have the worst run defense in the NFL, but the Pats do have Corey Dillon who is still pretty good, so to risk their youth/future at the RB position would be dumb considering their other guy is pretty good...I would say Willis, hard to do considering how good Maroney is and how bad the Colts D is, but if you dont even know if he's gonna play its hard to start him....

Good points about McGahee vs Maroney. I think LM will run well against the last-place Colts Defense Against the Run but as u said he splits time with Dillon and Faulk

Maroney isn't a very good start until he starts getting the bulk of the carries. With McGahee you know he is the featured back.

i circulate to make a case for Thomas Jones. he's extra consistent than Brown, going for 1300 & 1200 yds the final 2 years on a set that had a vulnerable passing activity, allowing defenses to stack up on him. the Jets stunned final year, and that replaced into without stud RB (Martin & Washington combining to post Jones' numbers). with respected targets interior the passing activity (Coles & Cotch), and a resurgent QB (Comeback participant of the year), to no longer point out a respected youthful coach ("Mangenius"), the Jets must be stable lower back. Jones outperformed Benson head-to-head final year, incomes the Bears commencing activity, prevented a letdown after a profession year (a la Brown), has a carry on the commencing activity (unlike MJD, Jacobs, & Henry- he's playing for Shanahan), and had "extra TDs than paternity fits final year," to borrow a word. Jones is stable, and you will possibly be able to by no skill know for specific with regard to the wellness of any banged-up Patriot. you do no longer % 2 wellness questionables on your backfield. incredibly, i might steer faraway from Maroney interior the 1st if available. i know this is a tough call at #12, yet perchance Rudi Johnson? perchance Bush?

I would go with Mcgahee, he will at least get most of the carries.
