The pill will keep your periods regular. I went on it a few years ago because I was skipping every other month and starting at different times each month (that I had one). As far as how long it takes to get pregnant after going off the pill - they say it usually takes most people a few months to get their system back on track (so to speak). On the other hand, my sister-in-law got pregant while on the pill and I got pregnant IMMEDIATELY after going off the pill.

Good luck.

I had been on the pill for years and it did give me regular and predictable periods. Along with that I no longer get cramps, my flow is much lighter and my periods last less. Several years ago I decided to go off the pill(after taking it for 5 or so years) and got pregnant right away. After having the baby I went back on the pill and now 6 years later I again went off it and am trying to get pregnant but it has only been 2 weeks. Im hoping it will happen like it did the first time.

I started the pill the 2nd month of my 1st period. It was to regular them because they were soooo heavy. I have been on almost all of them since and still the best for me was the pill. Everything else made me bleed more or gain weight or get depressed etc etc. I also was off the pill for 2 days and had my first child so if you choose the pill, be VERY careful to NEVER miss a pill. Also antibiotics interfere with the pill. The Depo Shot has gotten great reviews from all my friends. I hated it myself. It made me bleed sporadically. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

the pill can help you get regular periods but if you want something even better try the Nuva ring I use it and i take it out every 4 weeks on a sunday and have my period wed or thurs and put it back in on sunday stops on monday its really nice because i know when to expect it and when its gonna stop the booklet that comes with it says that without it for about a week you can get pregnant if youre trying but i dont know for sure Good Luck and God Bless
