Tesco sell a room spray by Bob Martin. They are a pack of 2 aerosols and 1 can does 1 room. You just set the can off and leave it. I think they are about £8 but obviously you need one for each room and don't forget the stairs/hall/landing. Good Luck!

There are a lot of things you can buy in your local stores to kill fleas. Another good tip is to vacuum daily and then throw your bag away inside a plastic bag for a few days. That will suck up any fleas and eggs that are down. There will be more, but once you do this for a few days and also spray or put out something to kill them you will be free.
A flea infestation will be outside as well probably, your animals or kids will bring them in when they come in. We put a poison powder out called Seven dust and that killed all the fleas outdoors around the house. Do not do this if you have an outdoors animal that might get into it. Contact your local pest control also.

I had that problem a few years back. I used a flea bomb that I got at my local Wal-Mart. You can get them anywhere, usually comes in a package of 2 or more because they need to go in every room. The trick is to sweep and vacuum before putting the bomb. Doing so breaks the eggs that are there so that you can kill them as well. Worked well.
Check the outside too. Even if you don't have pets, if you have a yard where animals can wander, you can get fleas that you'll bring in with you. For the outside you'll most likely need to call a pest control person because most of those over-the-counter things don't work.
OH WAIT! I know what works for the outside but it's messy...really messy. It's lime (not the limes we use in our beer LOL) the powdery stuff used in building materials. You can get it at your local building material store. It comes in a huge bag and is cheap. My mom did this one year because the outside of her house was so infested with fleas that you walked into her yard and 100s jumped on your legs...and she only had 1 dog!! A contractor told her to use it and they put it for her and she didn't have anymore fleas. It was great! She couldn't water her plants for 2 weeks so that it could work. Worked great on the snails and slugs too. After that, either you can wash it out with a hose or sweep it up, or just let it disappear by itself. With wind and watering and rain, it'll go away.
After you do the bomb or the outside, make sure to bathe your pets weekly or spray them with repellent often if you have pets. The trick is maintenance because fleas will ALWAYS be there. A dog could be passing by your house and a flea will jump into your yard and all it takes is 1. So be diligent with the upkeep.

The cheepest and best way i have ever found is to buy a 3 boxs of Borax Laundry condistioner, It is a dry powder. and 4 or 5 boxx of regular salt no additives and mix thesre two togeather and spread these every were the the flees are. Brush it in the carpet with a broom and on couch and chairs. It will not hurt anything and makes the house smell better besides. The borax kills the flees and salt kills the eggs. Leave on for about three days and vacuume off and dispose. Make sure you use Borax not boaxo.

You can do it yourself. Fleas lay eggs, it takes 8 to 10 days for the next batch to hatch. So you will have to do this two or possibly 3 times.
First get a bag of Sevin dust for bugs and the fog type bug bombs. One for each room. (check Home Depot or Lowes)
Vacuum a little of the Sevin dust up in your vacuum bag, then thoroughly vacuum the entire house, furniture included. The ones vacuumed up will die in the bag of your vacuum. Take the bag outside to your trash can so you don't take a chance on them getting back into the house before they die.
Then bug bomb every room. Set these off as you leave your house, one per room. Stay away several hours. Make sure all food and dishes in your kitchen are covered or in cabinets.
This should take care of the first round. Then in maybe 7 days do it again.
Fleas come in from outside. Be sure you get flea spray and spray your yard. Be sure your pets are cleaned and dipped to be free of fleas.
Fleas get into the house from pets that are NOT on the Flea treatments. (I think you can order them on line now.) You MUST keep your pets treated or your pets will pick up fleas every time they go outside, and bring them back inside.
Have fun, As you can tell I have had to do this a few times. But be certain to treat the yard and your pets.

you got to call the exterminator now, they will get in your bed ,infect your children, I use to do day care and the fleas came in one morning with a family of 3 kids ,I could actually see them jumping off the kids ,I had to call the health dept. I had to get rid of stuff animals ,some I was able to wash and put in a tightly closed plastic bag leave them in the bad for 2 weeks and that killed the ones on toys, but they are hard to get rid of and there bite sometimes leave a sore.you can go to the Lowe's OR home depot and tell them what you want ,they have good sprays that exterminators use . Hurry ,you don't want to be eaten up before the holidays and Santa don't need nothing bugging him

It depends how bad and widespread your problem is. I've always managed to sort this out before with Nuvane household spray from the vet. I suppose it's a sort of mini fumigation as you have to ensure the windows are closed and no animals are in the room but it's cheap and straightforward and certainly seems to work. You need to treat any pets as well and the vet will advise on the best treatment for them.
I know that here in Ireland you have to pay for house fumigation - it used to be free in the UK but I'd be surprised if it still was for house owners.

I'd start by treating your pet.
Here in the USA and Canada we have a liquid drop that is placed on the back of the pet's neck. It is called Advantage. Not sure if you have it in the UK but it works REALLY well!
Next, place a flea collar in your vaccuum bag and vaccuum, vaccuum, vaccuum!
Be sure to wash down the area where your pet sleeps as well.
If those do n ot work, have a professional do it! :)
Good luck!

Yep, keep pets outside, go to shop buy a flea bomb for around $10 and go out for a few hours while it does it's job, suggest you wipe surfaces and vacuum when you get home to get rid of the dead little buggers!
