To give some direction to this question I'll share an example: when I was in London, people asked me if I rode a horse to school and were completely serious.

I'm just curious if such ideas are prevalent elsewhere.

Also, please state where you're from when you answer.

I live in texas, and have lived her all of my life.I am 21 years old. It is awesome. Yes you have cowboys and rodeos but that is only some people. You also have gangs and other things to. It is not the way people think it is. Like me i hate animals. Never rode a horse and i am terrified of cows. But i live in the country. 50 miles from Austin. People won't really know how things are in a place unless they visit texas themselves. And i rode a bus to school with a/c.

I've lived in Texas all my life and ridden a horse only once. Many older men in West Texas wear cowboy hats but not everyone Lots of people drive trucks and SUV's. I think our laws are tougher for criminals than most northern states. It seems many people in West Texas are football crazy. I'm not. Most Texans seem to be courteous and laid back for the most part. It's like "you do your thing and I'll do mine".
I love Texas weather because it rarely snows.

He was born and raised in Connecticut if you do your research. I think it's terrible that one person can affect the way people view a place or a thing. I'm from Philadelphia.
