Ok, some may or may not agree that this should be included in here because it's not so much a movie but a documentary...But I don't think I've EVER cried so much in my life. On HBO the other day they aired 'Last Letters Home:Voices of American Troops from the Battlefields of Iraq'. So sad! Made me cry more than any other 'tear jerker' of a movie could have because it's real people.
As far as the best movie, I'd have to say 'Beaches'. Great flick.

I can't think of actual "human" movies that made me want to cry and/or cry. The animated one was "Tarzan". When the song "You'll Be In My Heart" started playing, coupled with the action surrounding it, I almost lost it. There's "The Tangerine Bear" that was shown 12-3-2000 on tv. I felt like an idiot. I was in my room almost sobbing over someone not taking a stuffed teddy bear because he had been discolored from the sun that had shown through the display window before Christmas Eve. Also, someone had accidentally sewn his mouth on upside down. It looked like he was frowning.

My advice for an incredible tear-jerker love tale is "return to Me", starring David Duchovny and Minnie driving force. unhappy tears and happy tears, some sturdy laughs too. want a classic? attempt "How eco-friendly replaced into My Valley" a terrific photograph Oscar-winner from 1941, starring a youthful Roddy McDowell, Maureen O'Hara, Walter Pidgeon & Donald Crisp. Sentimental, large kinfolk tale, heart-breaker. as quickly as considered, you will on no account forget it.
