I've got a creek that runs through my property and I thought it would be nice to have a beaver dam built on it to make a swimming/fishing hole... any ideas???

Good luck. You need many saplings and young trees. Hire someone up North to trap some beavers for you.

why don't you declare your place as a beaver sanctuary and people will just throw beavers your way.

Beavers are considered varmints,and they are free , if you can catch them alive and bring them over to your place.
