Ourr city is offering free flu shots for anyone from 6 months to 5 years and the elderly....so i would say that 9 months is safe.

Absolutely. Children under 2 and the elderly are the most likely to die from getting the flu. Their little bodies can't handle the toxins from the certain flu viruses and their entire body systems can start shutting down. (Remember a couple years ago, when there was not enough vaccine to go around? - Every other night there were reports of another child dying from the flu. There parents would put them to bed and when they checked in the morning, they had died). Don't take that chance. You would never forgive yourself for not giving them the vaccine that has been proven effective. The chances of them dying from the flu is much higher than the chance of having a rare, fatal side effect of the virus.

YES. Do it. My son was a preemie and I make sure that he gets his flu shots. The flu can be deadly for infants and toddlers! My son still got sick but he was over it in 1 day.

If your pediatrician suggests it then i would go ahead and do it.....WHY NOT. You would rather him get a flu shot than the flu itself.
