I take birth control. and last week was my period. it was a normal flow...this week i have dark brown spotting occuring is this normal? Should i be seeing a doctor about this?

Yes sweetie, it is just old blood, that's why it is brown. A phone call to whom ever prescribes your birth control wouldn't hurt. But I'm sure they will tell you the same thing.

I had this happen for a few days after every period when I was on the pill. I didn't worry about it, but if it goes on for a week or so, then I would just call the clinic and see what they say.

YES, this is perfectly normal after your period. It's the old blood still coming out.

Yes it is normal....all it is is old blood....don't worry there is nothing wrong. Wear a panty liner after your period if you are worried that it will show through your clothing.

Oh Yes... It happens to most women ... its just your body pushing out any remaning old blood.. not so nice of a thought but it happens..
