You have misused the term asexual. It really means that reproduction is done without there being a male or female. Basically it is done by cell division making equal whole organisms of the original or like splitting a flat worm and each half regrows what is missing.
Now as to telling your parents you don't want to get married, etc. I'm sure they will understand it, especially if you don't use the term asexual in your conversation. Just tell them you aren't interested in dating or having a relationship right now. If they persist, just tell them you need to concentrate on your studies, etc. and don't have the time or money at this time to party. There is nothing wrong with being celibate, though they might think you were going to join a priesthood order. I assure you that virgin isn't a dirty word. You are to be commended for your stance.

Honestly? You shouldn't have to explain, except to say that marriage and kids and stuff really isn't your thing. Unfortunately, your parents were probably hoping for grandkids one day, so they may be a little upset about it.
If you decide to tell them, then try to realize that they'll be wondering if:
#1- Have you met the right person yet.
#2- Will you EVER meet the right person.
#3- Are you gay and not admitting it.
Your best bet is to at least pretend to be keeping an open mind about it, and suggest that maybe one day you'll find the right person, but that at the moment, it just doesn't interest you at all.
I wish you the best of luck.

I can see why that would be difficult. Perhaps a letter might be a good way; sometimes it's a lot easier than when you're there in the room itself. On the other hand, perhaps you want this to be as frankly and openly talked about as possible.
I don't know what communities there are, but you might be baest looking for asexual communities on the net. Ask them about their experiences, for their advice.
Good luck.

Do you absolutely NEED to talk to your parents about your sexual preference? Frankly I can't see how its any of their business.
A very dear friend of mine also feels the way you do. He is 30, and has a ton of friends but has never had a GF or BF.(nor does he want one) It's just the way God made him, and he is a peace with himself.

I don't know that you *need* to explain it. It's your life, and I'm sure they wouldn't be worried about it anyhow.
