To get to know our Grand Creator

At Genesis 1:28 God stated his purpose in creating man when he instructed the first couple to "be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it." When Satan tempted Eve and she succumbed to his trap, there was a delay in the final realization of God's original purpose. There were now issues that needed to be resolved. The Devil asked Eve, "God knows that in the very day of your eating from it your eyes are bound to be opened and you are bound to be like God, knowing good and bad." He thus insinuated that God was withholding something good from his creation. Did God really have the right to decide what was good and what was bad or could man decide for himself and make just as good a life for himself?

Later in history, when Job was on earth, Satan raised another issue that needed to be addressed. He accused that man could not really love God and serve him for this reason, that the only reason man would remain loyal to God was if he showered him with gifts.

Today, through the outplaying of world events, these issues are being answered. We're all involved in answering Satan's malicious claims and proving him a liar.

Will you live your life in such a way as to answer the Devil's slander once and for all? If you do, you can be counted among the "meek ones [who] will inherit the earth." "Just a little while longer and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be." (Psalm 37:10, 11)

John 17:3 says, "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

Taking in that knowledge can seem a daunting challenge all on your own. A man in the disciple Philip's time once was reading a passage of scripture from the book of Isaiah. Philip approached him and said, "Do you actually know what you are reading?" The man replied, "Really, how could I ever do so, unless someone guided me?"

The true meaning of life will always come back to you until you accept Jesus as your own personal saviour. The true meaning is that we have to spread the gospel to the world. In the meantime, life changes are evident and that is why we all look further to see what life is really about. Put simply, life is about helping others get to know the Lord Jesus and how He saved us from sin. This may not sound exactly right to you if you have not accepted Jesus but it is the true meaning of life in a nutshell. Thank you for your question.

This is the great question that leads one out of ones self, because the inner being knows there is an answer. Since it doesn't matter if you die with $5 or $8.50 in the bank, or if your car needs an oil change, then we easily see that life is not about the world in a physical sense. Life is really about the inner being in its true capabilities, which is spiritual.

My personal philosophy:

Life is a gradual journey out of our egos where we're the center of the universe, through a realization that others are just as important as we are, to an end state where our consciousness is focussed on loving others... and love=doing what is best for others... not necessarily what makes them happy.

The question is not what is the meaning of life, but how do I bring meaning to life?

Certain questions indicate maturity of mind. This is one such question. Don't be in a hurry to find out the answer. Also don't stop asking this question. This question will itself lead to you the reality.

The paradox is, if someone attempts to answer this question for you, he/she really doesn't know. The person who knows the answer will not give the answer to you.

This answer has to be discovered by you, within you. No one else can answer it for you. Find out who are you first. All answers will follow.

All the best in your journey to find out the answer :-)

Well, here's my answer again....

"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well."
