If your talking about the version only, than go to network update if you have wifi. Or buy a new Game that just came out, and it will tell you to update from the disc.

Well, I went from 1.50 firmware to a custom 2.71 SE-B'. Plays isos and umds without devhook or pre-loading right off the memory stick. That's good for ya but you can't emulate 2.71 and use 2.8x boots to play anything higher than 2.71. I tried to devhook with the custom firmware to play Ace Combat X and had to do the up/downgrading again. The custom firmware works wonders though.
