hey bud -
if you type, "on we sweep with _________ oars, our only goal will be the western shore" into a search, then the result you get will not be biased toward a certain threshing or thrashing.
the answer is threshing by the way

Here are the Lyrics. If you google " threshing oar", you get about 11,000 hits. "Thrashing oar" gets about 500.

I always thought it was threshing (that's what makes sense,anyway) - and it is according to the lyricsfreak site.
