I usaually write horror and bloody things. I actually recently discovered that I can write it, but it began to influence me so I began to like blood and black things and have fun when i see blood in movies. but yet it did not influence in my real life. I mean if i saw any blood in the real life, not in movies i feel scared and disgusted. I am in law school and i like to hear about those bloody old penalty and get satisfied when i hear them when i study the history of penology. Should I stop writing horror?

The fact that you are having this debate with yourself shows that your are not happy with that outcome, so yes.

Your life is never impacted... until it is. The fact that you are alarmed by the change is a sign.

It sounds like your trying to have other people justify what you feel because your not happy with it. That is not healthy.

Sorry if this answer is not a popular one. Horror provides no benefit to society.

no, its' quite natural that as a writer you would start to appreciate things intellectually that you write about or use in your writting. But as long as you don't start wanting to cause people harm in real life, just fiction, or things that have already happened, then no, you're fine.

think about Steven King's books. How about "interview with a vampire? Maybe these writers had the same thoughts...Look at the money "chain saw massacres" brought in.....Keep writing, once you get it on paper, you can forget about that one and go on to the next best seller....who knows?

Does art imitate life or does life imitate art? Perhaps you started writing about such things because you were already interested in them.
