McCormick Pumpkin pie spice has the following ingredients in it in this order:
cinnamon
ginger
nutmeg
allspice
Ingredients are listed by largest amount to smallest.
My suggestion would be to start with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of ginger, & 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg & allspice.
Taste a little & see if it tastes like pumpkin pie & go from there.
Thanks & good luck

RE:
I need to know what is in Pumpkin pie spice.?
There is a packaged "Pumpkin Pie Spice" on the shelf that is used instead of several different spices. ie: ginger, cinnamon etc.
I am unable to buy the single package where I live and would like to know what the individual ingredients are.

the replacement for the pumpkin pie spice that mccormick gives in their pumpkin pie recipe is:
1 1/2 tsps. of ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp. of ground ginger
1/4 tsp. of ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. of allspice
hope this helps you out!!! I actually was looking for the recipe because the silicon dioxide they put in the blend to prevent caking give me a headache and I stumbled across your question here.

It is a mixture of several different spices: Cinnamon, clove, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, etc. Exactly what combination depends on the vendor. Pick up the package and read the list of ingredients. They have to be listed.
