You have to have passion for it. I suggest learn basic chords first. You can find endless chord charts online. Then learn how to read guitar tablature. Learn scales and techniques. Then all you can do is practice and practice. Stay with it though or you will get rusty. Good luck .

I don't know how, but I have this friend and she went to this guy who played for like, 20 or more years. She really likes playing it now!

take lessons trust me ! unless you are extremely passionate and dedicated and have a lot of time, dont teach yourself
