A lot of people can tell when they are with the person they are meant to be with, but how do you know if it's not right? I've been with my boyfriend for 3 and a 1/2 years and i'm used to him being there but I don't know if that means i want him forever. He stopped talking to me for a while when i found out i have luekemia and now wants to be a part of my life again. Should i move on or try it again?

Pray about it. The Lord will tell you. It's that still small voice within.

ABSOLUTLY NOT, why do you want to be with a man that was not there for you in the roughest time of your life. he sould of been there through it all he does not deserve to be with you. He has no respect for you and don't let him give you the line that HE couldn't handle the situation, that is bull and if he loved you then it wouldn't matter what was going on. I had cervical Cancer and my EX was there for me the whole time even though we were not a couple he sat with me through surgeries and everything, he helped with my kids and we weren't together. So please do yourself the favor and lose this loser

If he stopped speaking to you when he found out you were ill then he isn't worth much. You had it right the first time, you are used to him, but you can always get used to another man and be deeply in love with him and know what you what.
My vote is move on!!

You know it's not right when you have to question it. If it feels right to you, you wouldn't have to ask others for validation, you would just go for it. In my opinion, a person that leaves you in a time when you need them most (as I've read above ) doesn't sound like much of a catch to me!! Be true to yourself and do what's best for you. Good Luck!!! =)

I guess it was somewhat a shock to him that you are sick and he needed time to think things through. I know it hurt that he did this but some men don't know how to take trouble as us women do. What you two need to do is talk about it and then you will see where he is at on the subject. Ask question and see how he answers. Sometime we need to think things through but we should be mature enough to talk about how we feel. God bless you.

If after 3½ year of beeing together, he runs away just because you're sick, for me he doesn't love you, maybe he likes you, feel nice with you, get used to be with you just like you did, but "love" for what it really must be, i think not. For me, now he may feel the lack of your presence, maybe he feels alone, or feel pity for you, but his love should have been demostrated the moment you need him most, it's up to you if you want to accept him again, I would no recomend it.

Move on.
No one is "meant to be"- you learn if you're compatible by talking about your goals, religion, future, education, financial goals, commitment, children, family, outlook on life. If someone deserts you when you're ill, it doesn't bode well for the whole "in sickness and in health" part of things.

life is full of uncertainies. but if he bailed on you when you found out that you were sick, right when you needed him the most, then he'll probably bail everytime a problems arises. tell him to hit the road, you are better off not depending on him, because he probably won't be there to depend on anyway

If you love someone, set him free. If he returns, it was meant to be (or something like that). Take a break, and if you end up missing him more than anything, maybe it is love.

some one once told me that you can love just about anybody... but only you know if you are IN LOVE with that person. Yes there is a difference.eg: I love my mom, kids, friends, etc. but I am in love with my husband
