It's actually quite simple. If you are over 18, you should be able to go to your local courthouse and file paperwork (and also pay a bit of cash of course) to have your name legally changed. Or you could just get everyone you know to collectively start called you Kaitlyn. Hope this helped you Kate.

Why on earth do you want to change your name? I bet it's a lovely name whatever it is. Urm you'd need your parents agreement and then you'd have to go to your State thingy.
