I don't have a dish washer so I still do my dishes by hand. When I'm feeling playful, I tell people I have two dishwashers and show them my hands! I'm going to fill out your questionnaire now...

The only dishwasher in my house is me. Of all the people and family I know, only one has a dishwasher. I will have a look at your questionnaire for you. Best of Luck

I have been doing dishes for a very large family for many years and have had the chance to have a dishwasher. I prefer to do them by hand .

Maybe those with big families would get good use from them, but me and my beloved can do our washing up by hand in about two minutes each day. Whenever I've used a dishwasher (in other houses) it's taken me longer than that to load it!

I'm glad I have a dishwasher. One time it broke, and before it was replaced I had to wash all the dishes by hand..... it makes for some ugly hands, that's for sure!

Dishwasher? Hell YES!! I'd part with most things in my kitchen - microwave, rice steamer, etc but I'd hang on to my dishwasher until the bitter end! Gets everything much cleaner than I could ever manage. Saves time too. Fantastic!

Still wash dishes by hand. I live in an older condo building that doesn't allow dishwashers.

I dont have a dishwasher.. but then that is purely because I had to choose between dishwasher and tumble dryer.. I figured clothes were more important than dishes!

no.how many do you really think the people of Africa have?dishwashers use more water;more detergent, more fossil fuels(generating the power to run them.)they are not echo friendly, the waste water enters the sewage system,(this requires more resources to handle extra volume.)they are not cost effective for those living alone on a low fixed income.so yes the majority of the worlds population do their washing up by hand;often in cold water.

I do not have a dish washer, my other half does 99% of the washing up but when we move that will be 1 of the first things we will buy for the new place.
I have just completed your survey.
