Not without proving that you were actually off during that time. My old boss tried to do that. I calmly informed her that I knew the combination to the safe and had the keys for all the registers and even if my paycheck came in under hours, I would still be paid for the time on my timeclock.

Play hardball, but be ready to quit. Any boss with a power trip like that isn't worth working for anyway.
