ive tried using programs ,dreamweaver,smart ftp,fast trackand a bunch of other ones is it my computer ther hosting company or something else it is really frustrating is there someone who can help me? ftp://mysite.com is also very slow process is there a better way to do this?

If you're using a router, check your firewall setting and make sure that port 22 is open. If not, it'll cause the time outs.
