Many years ago I had an affair with a married woman - she had a child, I'm friends of the now grown up child - for my own peace of mind I would like to know if the child is mine but I do not want to rock the boat so to speak.

no you cant, its illegal people who are saying get a bit of hair or saliva must be dna scientist themselves, and when you take your result to the courts you will get jailed yourself for breaching human rights. you will have to rock the boat or let the fought of not knowing be with you for ever .

Could you not just go and ask the mother of the child?
I think the only other way would be to get some hair samples but you would have to make sure you get follicle at the root of the hair as that is where the DNA is held.

if i have been u id make an appointment to do the dna attempt! u dnt have 2 see her in any respect u both could have appointments at deff situations! the outcomes might want to b decrease back interior of per week or so! if ur like me u realy cant arise with the money for a criminal specialist so if she dont agree 2 the attempt then somethings up ne techniques! an id jus tell her that he'd take resposibility for the toddler even as he's conventional with its his! she cant do ne component bout it if he isint on the start certifacat n if he isnt n she does attempt 2 get baby help out of it, then he says its not his toddler then he'l have 2 have a dna attempt achieved ne techniques climate she likes it or not!

You will probably pay out the yang. Most common test are done by blood, so unless you plan on accidentally stabbing your child and having a vile close around to catch some blood your next option would be a hair strand test.
Not as accurate but will give you a clue.
So sit junior down and tell him you want to give him a hair cut for old times sake.

NOPE you need to get consent of the child if over 18 or the other parent. It is against the law belive it or not to steal someone elses DNA

Why do you want to do that?? If you find out it is your child, are you going to ruin a bunch of lives and tell the child and everyone else?
Just be content to be the child's friend.

Kind of difficult since you would need either a blood sample or an oral swab, and the kid would surely notice either one being taken. Best bet is to talk to the mother, she may agree just to keep her husband from finding out.

you need to get a dna sample , best would be to take a hair from the child and have it compared with your dna , be it blood or a hair sample , hope for the best.

A piece of hair with the hair folical in tack or a tooth brush. You can get DNA from both.

All you need is something like a comb with his/hair in it or a toothbrush ,glass that the he/she drank out of etc. And have it tested with your dna since you are friends with this preson you have plenty of opportunity. I hope everything works out.
