Munster rule!!! Better house, big dragon for a pet, a brother in law that was a Werewolf and the Creature from the black lagoon. Who agrees with me???

I prefer the Munsters.
They both aired within a week from eachother. Competition was formed between the two. The first season, the Munsters ranked number 18 on the charts, while the Addams Family at 23. They both were cancelled the following year. It is really all matter of opinion, even though the Munsters did rank slightly higher on teh Neilson scales.

The Munsters! Everyone was scared of the Munsters and they thought everyone was staying away because of Marilyn. They thought Marilyn was different, but, it was really them. And, their house is so creepy and when you see Marilyn's room it is so normal,like an all- American teenage girl. Of course, I don't under stand how Grandpa is a Vampire, Herman the father is Frankenstein, Lily the mother is a witch, but, of course she looks like the bride of Frankenstein and Grandpa is Lily's father though, Eddie the son is a Ware wolf and Marilyn the niece and cousin is a normal all-American teenage girl. But of course, their last names are Munsters so that might explain everything. They are very funny though.

The Munsters without a doubt. I loved the way they thought that their niece, Marilyn was ugly because she was normal and they felt sorry for her.. I loved Lily Munster. She took everything in stride, whether Grandpa was trying to blow up the house or Herman was being his usual naive self.

I agree big time!
The Munsters show was so much more entertaining.
The Addams Family characters were too drab.

As a whole...the Munsters was a funnier show but nothing beats John Aston as Gomez Adams (Raeul Julia roll) for those under 25.

Loved the Munsters. I always liked it when Herman would laugh! And I always thought he looked hilarious 'walking' down the street coming home from working carrying that tiny lunch box in his huge hand!!

I agree, Munsters was by far the better show. Herman cracked me up.
