vacuum leak or it could be a throttle position sensor

Check that the battery cables are tight (and clean). Also look to see if there is a small wire that goes from the positive side of the battery to ground (usually on the body somewhere). On my Ford, I had this little wire come lose and the car would quit like you are saying.

My car does this also. It will not idle at low, the engine just tries to die. I have to keep a foot on the brake and a foot very lightly on the gas at stops to keep it running. My bf says it is probably clogged fuel injectors, but the car is old and a piece of crap, so I keep limping it along. Good luck to you with your problem.

Do you really think someone can diagnose your vehicle on the Internet. I have tens of thousands of dollars of tools and diagnostic equipment to figure out these problems and it still requires a lot of knowledge and schooling to properly diagnose and repair a vehicle. Take it to a reputable auto technician and have it diagnosed. Guessing and taking bad advise will cost you a lot more money.

check the distributer and all its high voltage wires maybe you have one of them rust at its end or tere is a cut inside it.

MAKE SURE YOU USED ALL SENSORS FROM 96.
