make sure they are really dry and put them upside down, so no dust or anything else can get into them.

I let my glasses air dry then I put them away rim down so they will stay clean on the inside.

I store them down. Of course make sure your cupboard is clean. Storing them down keeps lint and dust from getting in the glass. Also it is flu season. You don't want flu germs that are floating in the air to land in your glass. gross I know.

I don't want to drink out of a glass that has been up side down because i

In the restaurant biz you have to store them rims down so as not to get dust or lint in them. But if they're still damp, let them air dry first and you can store them rims up at home if they're in a cupboard.
