One could argue that an amalgamation of all parts of the computer would equal a brain. The harddrive is anagolous to the hippocampus and other parts of the cerebral cortex, where memories are formulated and stored. Also, the CPU is anagolous to the prefrontal cortex of the brain, where decision making and planning are done. Additionally, the BUS on the motherboard is similar to links between neurons in the brain. Electricity that the computer uses is anagolous to glucose that the brain uses for engergy.

However, the computer, holistically, is no brain. Without any interaction from some user, it cannot do anything on its own without prior encoded instructions. So, the true brain behind a computer is the user (with help from the engineers who built the software).

the hard drive? that's were all the memory is kept, so maybe that's just part of the brain. Then I suppose the "soul" part of the brain would be the user because that's what make a concious decision to do things, other than the basic necessities, which then the interfaces, like the keyboard and mouse (the neuron parts?) allow it to do. The wires too I suppose would be neurons, and the keyboard and mouse the chemicals that the neurons fire? Then it sounds like the CPU might be the part of the brain that processes requests and makes things get done, that are translated form one aspect of the brain or "body" to another part. Oh man, I could do this for a while. :)

Computers don't have brains, they just have "bodies"
Computers don't think for themselves.
the user is the brain.

EDIT:Just fyi, Computers operate in "if-then" statement
Ex.
If the user presses the power button then turn on.
you could connect this with
If the brain says to move the arm, then the arm moves.

The "brain" of the computer is the person behind the keyboard (in a specific and general sense.)
If someone doesn't give it something to do, it does nothing.
