...for a 5th grader with straight As?
Something to do or somewhere to go. I don't want to buy toys. Ideas?

Ask the child . . if you want it to be a surprise then get something that the child has wanted or wants..if it is a toy then get it.. straight A's is excellent and giving what is wanted is the reward. that will keep the straight A's going...

Whatever she decides, make it a family thing.What can be more enjoyable to a 5Th grader than having a good time with her family.

How about something like dinner and movie with child and parents only. Or Midevil times castle. The local aquarium with friends.

Why not ask the 5th grader what he'd like to do or where he'd like to go?
