Um what the heck? Just because you wear a brand that doesn't mean your gay!!! Millions of girls wear guess jeans, I don't know what his problem is. That's really offensive someone would associate a jean brand to being a lesbian.

No. It's not true. It's got nothing to do with lesbians. But, here is what your idiotic, bigoted pastor is talking about, if you're interested:

In the death camps, Nazis made gay men sew a patch on the shoulder of their sleeves. The patch had a pink triangle on it. Lesbians were not rounded up and put in the death camps, though.

Jews had to wear a yellow star of David. Other groups had different symbols. Gay men later adopted the pink triangle as a symbol because it's a reminder of the bigotry in the world, and also it was a defiant thing to do.

I have to totally agree with BP on this one!

Some religious figures are just getting way too fanatical. First it was rock is the devil's music, and now jeans? Come on, why don't they focus on the real problems. And who cares if you were gay, it is not his place to judge you that is between you and God. I am not a very religious person, in fact I like a bit of all of the religions.

But, I do believe that God loves all of his children, gay, straight, black, white, christian, non christian. It is all about being a good person. The rest is just filler. Would God disapprove if you had a deformed hand, or black and not blonde hair? God doesn't descriminate, people do. And that is a shame.

So you wear those jeans and don't let someone "who is human also" tell you any different. I had a priest tell me I was going to go to hell, because I was marrying someone different than me, and that our marriage wouldn't last, then he proceeded to blame me personally for mental institutions and war and hate in this world. I told him, mental institutions wouldn't exist if some priests knew how to keep their hands off of little boys. He also told me my parents had no right raising inter-racial children.

Now really.... the guess jeans don't make you a lesbian anymore than the misconception that liking dolphins makes you a lesbian.... if so, I know a million little girls with pictures of dolphins and whales and such on their walls who are now gay?

It's silly.... wear your jeans and hell... even buy the t-shirts!

Guess jeans are very nice jeans, and i really do not understand his idea that a brand of clothing makes you a lesbian or means you are a lesbian. That is one of the most ridiculous statements i have ever heard, and he should know better than to be so judgmental being that is calling is a Pastor a man of God. And as such he is held more accountable for his actions and statements. Tell him to read that, straight out of the bible. Good luck and God bless

No No No... The Nazi party used a pink triangle to mark homosexuals (like they used a yellow "star of David" to mark Jews) during WWII (the origins of the triangle symbolizing gay) - the gay rights movement took up the pink triangle in the 60's as a symbol - but saying that the guess logo is a lesbian symbol is like saying a yellow yield sign means that if you drive on this road you are gay - time to find a new church

No disrespect, but what has he been smoking? That is absolutely a lie out of the pits of hell. I am saved, and I like some designer items, and no one can tell me that I'm a Lesbian. You should try doing some research, just because people claim to be followers of the Lord, doesn't mean it' s true. I don't take it lightly with people in leadership spreading false doctrine and misleading people. One thing is for sure if you make some one fall, and you're in leadership: You will give an account to Jesus.

No honey, it isn't true. You are not a lesbian because of the jeans you wear. If wearing those jeans with that logo means you are a lesbian, then I guess that means that my niece that wears a shirt with a rainbow on it is a lesbian too. I am a Christian, but I do not agree with what your pastor said.

I haven't seen the Guess logo in a while, but as I recall it doesn't look like the words, "I'm a lesbian."

Tell your "pastor" he's an ignorant jackass. It doesn't matter if you're a homosexual or not, and it's none of his business either way. It also is next to impossible to determine someones sexuality based on the clothes they wear. Unless their clothing has a silkscreened picture of them and someone of the same sex doin it on it.
This is absolutely absurd.

How strange! Honey, there are no "symbols" that mean your a lesbian. True a triangle is a gay symbol, but plenty of straight people wear Guess and have for decades... Tell your pastor that.

oh wow - i think that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard.

i have two pairs of Guess jeans, have worn them for the last couple of years, and have NEVER had anyone say anything about the logo - let alone assume that the stitching on the pocket is a lesbian symbol.

maybe its a cultural thing with your location - but i'm in the midwest and we've never assimilated the Guess logo with anything but Guess.

i'd say go out and wear them and don't worry about it. how does your pastor even think its his business staring at your rear ;) !!?
