How can I configure my belkin wireless connection to be in a secure mode,have not been able to do this since i installed the network?

there should be a pdf file in the cd that came with the router that explains how to do it if you do not have acrobat reader you can get it at www.adobe.com good luck

There should be an IP address in the manual for Belkin's site. It will look like: 192.11.233. etc.. Type that address into your internet browser address bar. Once you're at their page you should see a tab or a link to "Security" or something of that nature. Choose the type of encryption, either WEP, or WPA. You will have to provide a "key" to use to encrypt your network. Try to choose something that can't be easily guessed, the longer the better (maybe 8-15 characters). You may also want to change the name of your network (SSID) to something unique (not the default "Belkin").
