Because man looks on the outward appearance. It's the first thing we see. You can tell alot from someone's appearance. I don't believe it is the MOST important thing, but it is pretty important. If it wasn't, then there would be no need to dress up for interviews, church, dates, parties, etc...Those who don't care about themselves, those who are depressed, those who are confident, those who love life - it usually all shows in their appearance. And not just how someone dresses, but their personal hygiene, how they carry themselves, their posture, their face, their attitude. What's going on inside will usually be reflected on the outside. If I'm out and I see someone with dirty, sloppy clothes on, and hair that looks as if it hasn't seen a brush in days, I think "lazy pig who lays around all day and has a nasty house", and chances are, I'm probably right. But, if I see someone who has clean, unwrinkled clothes on, took the time to run a brush through their hair before leaving the house, and smells nice when you walk by them, I think, "this person probably has a clean house, a clean car, and is a respectable citizen." People are going to judge others until the end of time, but I believe alot of the judging can be minimized if people start caring about all aspects of their appearance more. If we don't want people to perceive us as something we are not, then we shouldn't appear to be what we are not. If you're not a lazy slob, then don't dress like one, if you're not a grump, then get the sour look off your face, if you aren't a witch, then don't act like one. (not you, personally, but you know what I mean). Anyway, that's just my opinion. Very good question!! Have a great day!!

Almost everyone judges other people for one reason or another. If you see someone who looks like a homeless person, most people walk the other way or avert their eyes hoping they don't get asked for money.
The really bad thing is when people discriminate against someone or are cruel to people for the way they look.
People who ridicule others at school or at the workplace for being different are really rotten shallow people. Why do they think they are better? Who knows?

Our culture today, media, tv, magazines, it's all geared toward what a person looks like instead of what kind of character or personality a person has. I know I'm guilty of looking at someone and instantly thinking one thing or another - I don't want to be that way. I'd like to give everyone a chance ~ though I do think in this day & age we need to be kind but careful also. Have a great day! :)

hello brilliant the first thing you do when you meet anyone is look at them and it's much easier to pass someone by like you don't care if in your mind you already think you know them and what they are all about and i bet if you saw me you you would do the same and avoid eye contact just because of what i look like
