Not at all. Seems that she is seeking some heavy duty attention and perhaps trying to make you feel guilty. As it stands it sounds pretty much like you gal pal needs some professional help and I hope that her parents are responsible enough to seek it out for her. Do not allow yourself to feel any guilt over this as you are not the one who tried to kill her.

Going by your side of the story, I'll have to say that it was NOT your fault. She was maladjusted and she needed help from a counsellor. You must focus on school.I can't say forget her like a bad dream, rather you should view this as a learning experience NEVER to allow anyone that kind of control in your personal or professional life. You haven't said whether she was just a friend and wanted to be something more or whether you started out as friends and it turned messy or whether she was and is just a friend.Either way I would say, stay away from her and get on with your life, you've acted sensibly.

sounds like she had a fixated crush on you .. it was not your fault sometimes people convince them selves that they love someone so much they cant live without them around 24/7 it is a mental disorder.. and sometimes people are just in love with the thought of being in love again something you can not help.. hopefully since she tried to kill her self her family will now try to get her the help she needs

No. It wasn't your fault. She has greater problems than you are equipped to deal with. Don't beat yourself up about it. There isn't anything you could have done. You were right. She does need professional help. I hope that she is getting it.

NO she was attention seeking and you were right to tell her she needed prof. help. Dont feel guilty, no actions you could have taken would have prevented her from this irrational behavior.

No, you are not responsible for her. She is responsible for herself and obviously has some serious mental problems.

Sorry, you don't have the power to drive people to their deaths. Her attempted suicide was her deal, not yours.
