russia, or the former soviet union, happens to be biggest country on this planet...
you'd be interested to know that despite having the largest area, the habitable portion is quite limited and barely exceeds that of China! most of the country is inhospitable largely due to terrain and climatic extremes...
so guess size doesn't really matter!
