The easiest way to solve this problem is to go to the Divx website and download their program with the codec bundle. You should be able to play most files with that program. But if you insist on using Windows Media Players, you will have to download extra codecs but there are many different ones so it is best to find a codec bundle. I used to have the website to it but I lost it. I need some time to find it. I hope this helps for now.

To add to this, I found a website with a free download:

go to microsoft to downloadn the codec or upgrade. Another way is go to My Computer, Local Disk, Program Files, Windows Media Player and open up mplayer2 and you can try playing the video on mplayer2.
