What is the THYMUS CHAKRA, and what does it do?

I have read that there is an 8th chakra in the human body - the thymus chakra, located in the upper chest and coloured turquoise - but that it is DORMANT in most people.

What I'd like to know is, what does this chakra do, and who are the types of people in which it is ACTIVE?
