I'm making a huge barbie house for my daughter for christmas and I have furnished it so far with everything other than a bathroom. I made everything myself, but when it comes to making a toilet I am stuck! Any suggestions on what to use or how to put it together? I'm pretty crafty but this is something that has stumped me.

You could sculpt one out of polymer clay. This would be the most realistic method. The plain white clay ( Sculpey brand ) is sold in 1 or 2 pound packages so you would have plenty for experimentation. You could form the toilet bowl by covering a small ceramic or glass condiment bowl with foil for a mold and laying a sheet of rolled out clay over it and baking according to the package instructions. A base for the toilet bowl could be a plain cube of the same clay added before baking and the tank could be made the same way. For the seat, just roll a "snake" of the clay, join the ends to form a ring and flatten slightly. After baking, just glue to the top edge of the bowl. You can make the tub and sink with the same material and to make it shine, paint it with future floor wax after you have sanded smooth with wet/dry sandpaper.

a pringle can be used for a shower. a velveeta box (use foil to line and shape the inside) for a bathtub. a plastic champagne glass for a sink. toothpaste caps for faucet. an upside down dixie cup with a hole in the bottom for a toilet.

that's all my 6 year old neice and i can think of.
