A few points:

Sasha Baron Cohen who plays Borat is Jewish himself so he cannot be a 'jew hater'

The joke is not on Borat or Kazakhstan but the joke is in his ability to get people to disclose their bigoted points of view or simplistic ideas on the premise that they are thinking they are talking to a 'simple man' from a 'backward country'. Now I'm not dissing all Americans here, as many are educated and travelled. He's caught out a few of us Brits as well.

Sasha had a similar joke with Ali G. With many people thinking they were talking to a hip, street-wise, youth TV presenter. The humour is in their responses to the ridiculous questions and the manner in which they were asked, 'innit'!?!? This is why the Ali G movie didn't work, Sasha placed his Ali G character into a fictional storyline. At least Borat stays true to his original formula and I think Sasha has learned from the error of his ways in the way he wrote the Ali G movie.

You aint seen the last of Sasha, apparently his character 'Bruno' a gay Scandinavian fashion commentator is making its way to the big screen with a bidding war currently going on between US movie companies.

Borat, comedy genius. You gotta admire it. It takes balls of steel to pull off what Sasha does.

from what i've heard, it is just like all the other shows with Borat... All the same material, nothing new!!! So I don't think it is worth seeing... I've seen the previews, but i do like the part where they are at the dinner table and he starts talking about the guys wife saying that she isn't desirable for his country! lol... but other than that I don't think it will be very good!

Of all the funny and interesting characters Ali G (Sasha Baron Cohen) portrays he picked the dumbest one to make into a movie. I won't see a movie about Borat.

Personally, I love Borat, it's hilarious how he takes the piss out of people without them even realising it half of the time. i'm gonna go see the film this weekend.

I think the man is a absolute pratt, to make any fun of people in the manner that he is prone to do, he would be the first to complain if someone smacked him in the great big mouth he has, his sense of humour is to embarrass others at the expense of him getting a laugh
