Just tell her that you think you have outgrown each other. You can do it in person or by email if you feel more comfortable. You can specify that you dont tell tales about her(if this is true) and rather than winding up enemies, you would like to chill for now and see if you can reconnect at a later date. My best friend and I often had to take breaks with each other because there were times when we were just trying to hurt each other and our friendship was going nowhere but down the tubes. The breaks worked and we remain best friends. Sometimes you just have to get away and refocus.

There is a simple answer to this. Just tell her.
Specifically though, I would go to her and thank her for the time that you were friends and I would explain to her that trust is imprtant in any relationship and that because you trust is no longer there you can no longer be friends. She is likely going to say that she didn't say or do any of those things that you alledge. To that I would simply say I understand and continue on by saying whether or not she did or said those things is not the issue, because trust has been violated and since that is the case it is time to dissolve the relationship.

Don't start off telling her that you don't want her to be your BF anymore. But tell her that you don't appreciate all the things she is doing and that BF's would not do that to each other. If she continues, just confront her again and let her know that she is hurting your feelings and you don't want to hang with her anymore. If she calls you, still talk to her, because she is your best friend, but hopefully she will get the point that her ways need to change.

Set her down and tell her what you know she has been doing and that you are going to stop spending time with her. She is not a best friend if she has done all you say she has. She is gossip and trouble maker, be sure your being told the right things by the right people. You know some people just like to destroy a relationship, she may be innocent of all they told you, ask her.

Take her aside and tell her that you don't like your behavior and until she improves her attitude that you're not going to be her bff anymore. The end. If she decides to spread rumors, then you just need to tell people that what she's said/saying is wrong. Good luck!

Sometimes you have to tell people something that they do not want to hear. It may hurt them, but it will hurt you more bcuz you did not say anything. Just sit her down one day and explain to her how you feel and even though you may not want to, give her a choice, friendship or nothing at all. It is harsh but like I said sometime you have to tell people how it is when you don't want to.

Try talking to her first, and tell her how it makes you feek. If she flips out and does something else dont be her friend, how can you say shes your friend when she does that to you. I had to do it to my best friend, becasue she was jealous because i have a boyfriend who treats me right, and she doesn't. If she really was your best friend she wouldn't be doing any of that.

First of all, she is not your best friend. If she insults you and talks smack about you behind your back then you should let her know that she has ruined your friendship. SHE was the one who broke your trust.

just quit calling and hanging out with her. Pretty soon you will drift apart, or she will ask you what's going on, and you will have the opportunity to tell her.
