Can you tell if something is warm or cold?

Certain things give off a different smell when heated but mostly I don't think you can differentiate. The sensation of smell is caused by particles of the thing in question not by chemicals released.

yes, the hot iron or the burning electrical line smells also the woods on fire. We smell the cold a/c in the room. Hot or cold can be smelled because I think our sense of smell work together with our sense of touch.

Usually no. It depends on the material. Some materials give off fumes when heated so you might be able to tell. Your sense of smell is based on what chemicals enter your nose, not the temperature of those chemicals.

Not, really.. You can smell sweat and tell that some was hot...
You can smell steam!!!
