I want a design for a saree. Can anybody suggest some designs? Also, please suggest the kind of material, colors and quantity that I would need. The saree is a plain blue color saree.

A saree (aka sari) is usually 6 yards of material (some are 9). The material can be silk, satin, cotton, chiffon, or a light brocade. I'm not sure whether you're talking about adding a design to the fabric you have using block printing or embroidery or whether you just want samples of traditional designs.
I'm giving you links to information and pictures of sarees as well as sites that sell sarees and sites that show you block printing and embroidery.
You can just buy 6 yards of a nice border print material and wear wear over a saree top with a slip too. It truly is one size fits all.
