Actually rabbits like all kind of plants. Very few that they don't eat and I doubt there is any plant that really would repel them. The ONLY thing that can keep rabbits from your garden is a dog/big cat that resides in the garden and doesn't sleep or a small ground tight fence. The fence doesn't need to be too tall - I use 2' chicken wire all around my garden when we have our explosions of rabbits. The fence does definitely need to be grounded (buried or staked down every few feet) so they won't crawl under.

I know deer don't like marigolds so I can see the rabbits disliking it also, especially due to it's bitterness.

We heard they did, so we planted some surrounding the vegetable garden. But then later I actually observed rabbits within inches of them. So no, not really.
